"I have been proud to be involved with public service for as long as I can remember. My parents instilled that in me and my 9 siblings, and I passed that on to my four children. I will continue to work for you as Mayor. We need to preserve our history, strengthen our community, improve our schools, and make public safety - especially getting guns off the streets - a top priority. After 8 years on the Fredericksburg School Board, almost 20 years on City Council, and decades as a public school teacher, I know what it takes to find solutions and work with citizens, business owners, my fellow Council members, and staff to get things done."
